  2. dinu 10:51 am on August 8, 2008

ha ha ha ha true .. I never read any of the TOSs

  3. Saad Akhtar 12:44 pm on August 8, 2008

    Dammit! I had a similar idea :(

But yeah, there should be mandatory read-aloud audio files for TOS’s before I agree is enabled. Also, there should be random quizzes based on the TOS content, throughout the software’s lifetime.

Users should be well aware of what they’re getting into!

  4. Sheenam 2:14 pm on August 8, 2008

    Haha! Good one!

  5. Anirudh 2:23 pm on August 8, 2008

  7. xylene567 3:12 pm on August 8, 2008

hey I just tried commenting and it said, “you scrolled down faster than you can actually read the cartoon, so comment rejected, Please read the post before commenting”
Did you activate the same system?
I think one should be there for my blog as well. :D lol

  8. Anshul 3:48 pm on August 8, 2008

Xylene, I don’t want to shoo away few of the active and regular commentators/commenters on my blog… :) so I won’t put this system in place on my blog. It is suitable for your blog since people might not read the post in a hurry to be the first one to comment.

  9. arvind 5:23 pm on August 9, 2008

    so true..
i have never read any terms and conditions … :P

  10. xylene 3:55 pm on August 10, 2008

  13. Emily 9:01 am on September 10, 2008

If that ever happened to me, I’d go walk the dog and then come back to my computer or something. :P

  14. poldi 10:22 pm on September 10, 2008

I actually had something like this on a shareware software i used a few years ago. another time the program closed itself because i did not scroll to the end

  15. lol 5:44 pm on September 11, 2008

    lol

  16. EvilGod 8:26 pm on September 11, 2008

Everybody should use EULAlyzer. It’s free and an easy way to check End User Licence Agreements without actually having to read one.

  17. Eric 12:39 am on September 12, 2008

The EULA’s are ridiculous, we all know that, but I don’t understand why the comic is so hilarious. It’s only as hilarious as the actual EULAs.

Is this a high-school site? That would explain everything, including the comments.

  18. fireberts 2:19 am on September 12, 2008

LOL when i was a kid i used to be sure to scroll down very slowly so the computer would think i actually read it

  19. Morgan 5:09 am on September 12, 2008

SHH! Don’t give them any ideas.

  20. person 8:10 am on September 12, 2008

I have always worried about that happening to me to be truthful.

  21. Dave ille 9:07 pm on September 16, 2008

It’ll never happen friend. I’ve already got half the souls on the planet signed up. See you soon.

  22. commenter 4:27 am on September 22, 2008

There are countries in the world (eg. germany) where reading the EULA/TOS is just a waste of time, as they are not binding because you can only see them after purchase.

  23. Neil 11:52 pm on September 28, 2008

I’ve actually seen this implemented years ago. Maybe as far back as Windows ME

  26. This person 10:58 pm on October 9, 2008

I have had this happen to me in a way. I didn’t scroll down the page and tried pressing it and I couldn’t. So I had actually scroll down so I at least saw the words even if they were going very fast.
