Theres nothing free, and as for this “…insist on bill…” notice, its for avoiding employee theft/leakage, not for forwarding any freebies to the consumer.

But seriously, what’s with the “If you’re not presented a bill, you’ll get a free coffee” sign at cafes?
Scenario:
Person goes to coffee shop, orders coffee.
No bill is forthcoming.
Man: YOU sir, did not present a bill, I demand my coffee to be free.
Cafe Guy: Well Sir, in that case, here’s your bill. THat’ll be 50 rs.

How does one prove the existance of a non-presented bill to the cafe manager? With that logic, everyone can demand free coffees.
